Touchless use cases.

Touch kiosk and digital sign providers are being asked to look at interaction differently. To provide a safer approach, not touching the screen is a preferable way to interact. Fast food ordering, retail checkout and digital sign interaction now can become touchless without having to replace the entire device. It provides a smooth transition from touch to touchless with a familiar and intuitive experience.

Frequently asked questions

The Intel® RealSense™ Touchless Control System seamlessly converts a touch system to a touchless one with an Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435.

This is for kiosks or digital signs which don’t have touch or are touch enabled. The idea is to use an Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435 plus our TCS software to create a touchless interaction.

TCS creates a virtual wall. When an object or finger crosses the wall, it translates to an X and Y position on the screen. If it gets to a certain distance, it activates like a click at that position.

No. It is simply to allow the person to do touchless interaction on a touch-based screen. There is no right click or scrolling gestures. This additional type of functionality could be added in a future version but is currently not implemented.

No. It is an executable which sits on top of the existing application. When running it passes the “touch” information to the OS and it acts as if the screen is touched.

From 14” to 32” in either landscape or portrait mode. Larger screen support may be available upon request. Contact our sales team for further information.

Yes, but this is not a recommended application. TCS is designed for kiosks or digital signs which don’t have touch or are touch enabled. It is not meant to replace a mouse and keyboard for PC usage.
