Intel® RealSense™ LiDAR Camera L515 Buy Intel® RealSense™ LiDAR Camera L515 Introducing the world's smallest high‑resolution LiDAR depth camera. Buy First in the family First in the family Intel® is proud to introduce a revolutionary solid-state LiDAR depth technology designed for indoor applications. The first product in the new LiDAR depth family, the Intel RealSense LiDAR Camera L515 is perfect for applications that require depth data at high resolution and high accuracy. Redefining computer vision with Intel RealSense LiDAR The L515 is a revolutionary solid state LiDAR depth camera which uses a proprietary MEMS mirror scanning technology, enabling better laser power efficiency compared to other time‑of‑flight technologies. With less than 3.5W power consumption for depth streaming, the Intel RealSense LiDAR camera L515 is the world’s most power efficient high‑resolution LiDAR camera. 9 meters maximum distance Consistent high accuracy over the supported range of 0.25 m ‑ 9 m1 23 million Pixels per second 1024 × 768 pixels per depth frame at 30 fps. 100 Grams of weight Only 61 mm diameter and 26 mm height. Use cases Logistics Robotics 3D Scanning Logistics Logistics and Measurement The Intel RealSense LiDAR Camera L515 gives precise volumetric measurements of objects. Use the L515 on a handheld device or as part of an inventory management system for quickly counting objects on a shelf, or track every pallet that leaves your warehouse to make sure it's fully loaded with the right inventory. Robotics Optimized for robotics While all Intel RealSense Depth cameras are necessary components in an intelligent autonomous robotic solution, the Intel RealSense LiDAR camera L515 brings an additional level of precision and accuracy over its entire operational range. Quickly gauge complex objects, handle occlusion or objects behind others with ease for a new level of performance in bin picking or grasping. 3D Scanning 3D Scanning With 3D scanning, one of the biggest challenges is edge fidelity - making sure that objects don't bleed into the background or each other. The Intel RealSense LiDAR Camera L515, has edge fidelity in a class of its own, combined with a quality FHD RGB camera and IMU for more robust handheld scanning solutions. Together these features make the L515 the best option for taking your 3D scanning to the next level. Intel RealSense DIM Weight Software Measure packages at the speed of light Intel RealSense DIM Weight Software Measure packages at the speed of light Designed with Intel’s proprietary volumetric-measurement SDK and based on the Intel RealSense LiDAR Camera L515, the DWS solution will help transform dimensional measurement throughout the logistics industry. Intel® RealSense™ LiDAR Camera L515 is designed to function best from 0.25 to 9 m. Can I use this camera outdoors? Infrared light from the sun can interfere with the performance of the device which can degrade the quality of the depth images when used outdoors. As a power efficient LiDAR camera, L515 will perform best indoors or in controlled lighting conditions. What are the hardware requirements? Our onboard Intel RealSense Vision ASIC performs all the depth computations, which allows us to provide depth to numerous platforms at low power. The Intel RealSense SDK 2.0 is platform independent, with support for Windows, Linux, Android and MacOS. We also offer wrappers for many common platforms, languages and engines, including Python, ROS, C/C++, C#, Unity, Unreal, OpenNI and NodeJS, with more being added constantly. The camera requires a USB-C 3.1 connection to provide power and transfer data during operation. Can I purchase this camera in module form? This camera is not currently available in module form. Please contact us for further discussion about your needs. Can multiple L515 cameras be used simultaneously? Multiple cameras can share the same field of view utilizing our hardware sync feature. What are some of the usage recommendations for this device? The L515 is the perfect product for any indoor application that requires accurate depth data in the range of 0.25-9 m. Typical use cases could be pick and place for warehouse robotics, volumetric measurement and room scanning. What is the wavelength of the L515 laser? 860 nm Is this product eye safe? Yes, this camera has a Class 1 eye safe laser. At what ambient temperatures does the camera work? 0-30 °C What is the depth accuracy of the device? Depth error average at 1m distance from camera is <5mm*Depth error std deviation at 1m distance from camera is 2.5mm*Depth error average at 9m distance from camera is <14mm*Depth error st deviation at 9m distance from camera is 15.5mm* *at 95% reflectivity Get started Now that you’ve got your Intel® RealSense™ depth camera, start using it by following this easy to use guide.
